Live entertainment every first Friday of the month
Not busy, but tables were not ready for people to be seated. Taco salad she'll was either stale or soggy. Either way unacceptable.
Ms Kelly T. The manager is the best! Wonderful customer servuce. She was quick and never missed a beat. The food was amazing! We got there at the beginning of the evening rush and she kicked it's butt. Well worth the little wait and the money. We took some home so decent portions as well
Food was okay. Pretty expensive though after they add tax and the forced 15% gratituity on take out.
I love this place! Delicious food and great atmosphere! My Friday go to! Plus the staff is amazing! Shout out to Aubrey and Kelly for always taking care of us!
Great little restaurant good food and drinks even sweet tea. Also have alcohol drinks with inside seating or out side and covered.
Very good ! Had great reviews so we checked it out ! We had the special three tacos for $5 and it was plenty of food
Food was wonderful and Haley gave us very good service.
My stomach hurts. This is by far is the worst place I have ever been to. Food portions are so small and they charge way too much. STAY CLEAR of this PLACE!!!!! Also, there was a long wait but mind you the place was dead. They kept getting our order wrong. We sent it back for the correct one and then they charged us for the extra meal on our tab. Then they took off the extra meal as if they were doing us a favor after almost charging us as if we wouldn't have noticed.
Had dinner at Blue Bay last night. It is one of the few restaurants in Darien Ga. We stayed a few days and had dinner out almost every night. Our server was Jordan and she was fabulous. The food was great. Really a surprisingly nice find in such a small town. Best meal we had during our stay.
This restaurant is terrible... well I didn’t get to taste the food because i waited for 2 hours and when I asked the waitress how long the wait was she got an attitude and was really disrespectful! I would not recommend this place because we had a couple with us and he was cripple and they said it was separate but when we said we wanted to cancel the order she took canceled all of the orders and then she put us on the back of the line and then we said well I’m just going to pay and then we left. Don’t ever go to this hell hole ever in your life-bye loves have a good day💗
The shrimp tacos were excellent; the shrimp was fresh and they didn't skimp on them either.
Stopped on way to Florida on Tuesday.Food was good. Service great. On the way back on Thursday we were greeted by a Police Roadblock. It appears this is fairly common,Stop in Darien at your own risk. If you decide to stop at one of their wonderful restaurants, Blue Bay Mexican,Skippers etc. DO NOT DRINK.!!!!!!!!
It's great to eat out on the screened porch and the food is very good as well, but the inside is poorly decorated and not inviting to me. But we like going there for the food. The tuesdays taco deal is great. 3 tacos for only$5 we get some baked beans and rice on the side extra.
As locals, we eat here with fair frequency. The service is outstanding: friendly *and* efficient. The food manages to hit the perfect balance of "authentic, but accessible enough to appeal to even cautious American palates." The shrimp tacos are a thing of beauty (delicious and spicy); the sopapilla and flan are both sublime.
Great food
Love this place. All the food I have tried is fantastic. Always leave happy, reminds me of grabbing burritos back home from California. Worth stopping. Clean and polite, super friendly and accommodating. Located in historic downtown Darien located by a river and old historic building. Outdoor seating and indoor, handicap accessible, worth stopping.
Quaint little Mexican Restaurant we were lucky enough to swing by on a recent trip. Food was authentic, delicious and reasonably priced.
Staff and food are Great ....Managers are really nice to customers , but environment for employees is rather stressful. Ease up a little on the help.....you got a great crew.
What you get here is traditional Mexican food, but more than that is a comfortable atmosphere with a South Georgia appeal. Very relaxed environment, attentive staff, and good food. We especially like the tamales! Choose to sit either inside or outside on a screened porch. It's one of the few Darien restaurants, but it's worth the drive to get away from the obnoxious crowds. Nice for a relaxing evening dinner.
We really like this place, and they just opened up an ice cream shop, too!!! The food is outstanding, the building itself is in need, but it's still a unique environment. The outdoor seating is nice, in the winter, but I don't take well to this heat. The inside is air conditioned, but with window units, that could probably be replaced. It cool enough, but fighting the outside elements and the kitchen, it could be cooler. The staff, food and environment is still deserving of all 5 stars, but don't say I didn't warn you about sitting outside in the summer. :)The only thing that stops me from eating here more often it's the next town over, but I sure think about it a lot. They may even have one in Brunswick, but I've gone to that one. I like the Darien store and would hate for a different location to ruin it for me.I'm really thinking about going there tomorrow, Thanks Google... :)
Loved it, great food pleasant outdoor seating. Friendly staff.
Great food! great margaritas! We really enjoy this place
We went here for breakfast last weekend when we were in Darien visiting family. The scrambled eggs with chorizo, with black beans on the side, were fantastic. The omelettes were large, with lots of filling options, and the coffee was great. My stepmother has an egg allergy, and they made a breakfast burrito for her with just veggies, bacon, and cheese, without hassling her or charging extra for the customized order. Will definitely go back the next time we're in Darien.
Good food. A little pricey Because of the restaurants around it.
Taco Tuesday..yeah. good margaritas
Cute place and the food was really good. I loved sitting outside on the screen porch.
Great food, great service, adorable screened in porch with Mexican music playing...
Sweet service ❣️ Food was yummy!!!
Best Mexican in Glynn co hands down.
Tuesdays are 3 soft or hard tacos for $5. Very tasty and very filling. The restaurant is very very clean.
Very cute place and good food
Really good Mexican food. Good service
Food was average at best. Water tasted horrible. Service was slow. Cleanliness was lacking.
I just finished the best quesadillas EVER. Wow. A fantastic find just off highway 17. The food is fresh and made to order. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is laid back and so enjoyable. And all this is located in sweet, scenic Darien, GA. This little town has an over abundance of good food establishments and Blue Bay is a great addition to the mix.
Good food and service! Love sitting on the screened in porch!
Horrible service and comparably bland food. Our waitress forgot two different things we asked for and never mentioned them again all while the place was dead. I imagine the only reason they are still in business is because they are the only Mexican food and one of three sit-down restaurants in town.
Great “hole in the wall” Mexican spot! Food was good, and our waitress was very friendly. Only concern were the cups...looked dirty and felt sticky. Otherwise, they would have gotten 5-stars. We’d definitely come back if passing through.
Service and food quality not great
The manager is very rude and immature. They automatically charged the tip on my bill saying because I was in a party of 6 but yet I was a separate check andhe would not take it off. Too bad the customer service is horrible because the food is great.
The manager who is a young boy has a lot of growing up to do. Remember me I worked for you a week. Learn how to treat people.. Stacy Key thank you for your ugly message. I do surveys for a living now. 😁. Nice sweet young waitress rolling silverware honey the world is a big place. You can do better. Check out my Facebook
Fantastic food! The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I can't wait to go back!
The service was really friendly and courteous. The food extremly good. Just as i had excpect it in such a townThumbs up 👍
Great food and service with southern hospitality. They have indoor or outdoor seating, great for any weather conditions.
Good food. A nice out of the way location.
Tacos are fantastic. We always sit at the bar.
We were passing through on our way to Florida and decided to stop in to this little quaint restaurant. Things started off ok, but first off the water smells and tastes like swamp water. Secondly, our drinks and orders all came out with errors. Third, the kids enchiladas had pasta sauce on them, when we complained, they said "the kids meals have different enchilada sauce than the regular meal". Why? And gross. Lastly was the cost. Compared to the meal, quality, and portion sizes, our lunch combination meals for two adults and two kids should have been about $20-$25. The bill was $40! Wow, some lunch combo there.
Hubby and I have been here twice and both times we got friendly service and great food. Their meats are marinated well and tender. They have a nice outside seating area which we would like to enjoy having drinks and hang outside on another time, especially as the weather cools down.
My sweet baby, Jesus this food was great. Huge margs and excellent burritos my wife had the veggie fajitas and she told me it was delicious. I will go back many times while I’m in this area
I love this restaurant and my toddler is treated like a queen. The food is great!
